Department of Cardiology

The department of cardiology king George hospital, has been catering to the cardiac patients of north coastal Andhra Pradesh and adjoining areas of Odisha, Chhattisgarh for more than 50 years now.

The department has a well-equipped CATH lab, where all diagnostic and interventions including Stents, pacemakers and cardiac device implantations are done. There is a well-equipped intensive coronary care unit, non intensive diagnostic unit with ECG, ECHO, HOLTER, TMT. For the past 32 years, a very successful DM PG programme has been running in the department The department is also a training center for diploma, and graduate technician courses in ECG,2D ECHO, and Cardiac Catheterization The department is run by the very capable faculty led by Professor and Head Dr. M Srinivasa Rao. We have 2 professors, 2 Associate professors, and 2 Assistant Professors. There are 4 Post Graduate students admitted every year.
